Boarding Terms & Conditions

All bookings with Branscombe Kennels and Cattery which is a trading name of Five Paws Ltd through any means, including but not limited to, in person, online, email or on the phone are subject to the following terms and conditions.

1 - PRICING

a: Unless we have otherwise agreed in writing, we will charge you the currently advertised rate for your animal(s) for every calendar day they are boarded with us.
b: Pick-ups before 12:30 will get a 50% reduction for that day.
c: Drop-offs after 14:00 will get a 50% reduction for that day.
d: We reserve the right to change our boarding prices at any time and will provide at least 30 days’ notice of any changes.
e: All changes to boarding prices will only affect boarding that starts after the change is implemented.
f: Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day attract a double charge.

2 - VACCINATIONS

a: Any animal(s) being boarded must have up to date vaccinations and you must be able to show evidence of these vaccinations on arrival, either via their Vaccination Card or vet provided medical history.
b: Any vaccination for Kennel Cough must have been given at least 14 days before coming to stay. Admission will be refused for anything less.
c: We reserve the right to deny entry to any animal that is not up to date with their vaccinations.
d: If the course of vaccinations has been restarted, then admission is not allowed until the course has been completed with both injections having been given.

3 - PAYMENT

a: Unless otherwise agreed by us, payment for the boarding of your animal(s) is to be made before collection or when they are collected by you or your nominated representative.
b: We reserve the right to charge a minimum non-refundable deposit or advanced payment of £25 for any booking.
c: All payments can be made using debit or credit cards or cash. We do not accept cheques.
d: Any outstanding payments not received within 30 days of the leaving date may be subject to an administration fee and/or interest and may be subject to further legal proceedings.

4 - ALTERNATE PERSON COLLECTION

a: If you are not collecting your animal(s) at the end of the stay we will need the name and contact details for the person collecting them.
b: We will need to be informed of how payment will be made if your nominated representative will not pay for the stay before we can release your animal(s) to them.
c: All responsibility for your animal(s) will be transferred to your representative on collection.

5 - EARLY COLLECTION AND BOOKING CHANGES

a: If you remove your animal(s) from boarding before the agreed leaving date, we ask that you give us as much notice as possible before the collection.
b: If there are more than 2 calendar days remaining of the original booking then we reserve the right to charge you a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the charges for the remaining days of the booking.
c: If you need to change dates or times for an existing booking, please let us know as soon as possible so we can accommodate your request.
d: if the change is to reduce the stay and is within 24 hours of the booking start date, we reserve the right to charge you up to 50% for any cancelled days.

6 - CANCELLATION

a: We ask that you inform us as soon as possible when a booking needs to be cancelled.
b: Cancellation of an entire booking within 24 hours of the booking starting will incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the original booking’s full charge.
c: A booking will be considered cancelled with no notice by us if you and your animal(s) have not arrived by 16:00 on the agreed booking start date.

7 - MEDICATION

a: We can only administer nutritional supplements and vet prescribed medication to any animal staying with us. Other medication including human medication without supporting evidence of a prescription may be refused.
b: You will have to provide any prescribed medication that will be needed during your animal(s) stay with us, along with clear instructions on dosage and frequency.
c: We reserve the right to see proof of a prescription for any medication you bring for your animal(s).

8 - ILLNESS AND DEATH

a: Vet advice and/or treatment, from your own vet (where practicable), will be obtained for any animal that becomes unwell while boarding with us.
b: You need to let us know if your animal(s) has/have any pre-existing illnesses, injuries or conditions while they are staying with us.
c: We will make every effort to contact you in the event that your animal becomes ill or passes away while staying with us.
d: Unless specified otherwise, any animal passing away while staying with us will be removed to your vet as soon as possible (unless not practicable where they will be taken to the local kennel vet).
e: Unless otherwise agreed you will be liable for all costs for any vet care or treatment.
