Animal boarding has been operating on the current site in Stour Row, just outside Shaftesbury, for over 50 years. Branscombe Kennels and Cattery consistently offers high levels of care for the four-legged members of the families, from all across Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset and beyond.

2024 Price Increase

5th February 2024

Welcome to 2024

As 2024 begins we are faced with increased costs over those we were experiencing this time last year and we have to increase our daily boarding rates. We have looked closely at our current expenses and have tried to limit the increases where we can.

We have also taken the opportunity to simplify some of our pricing, reducing the number of options when boarding multiple dogs, and dropping to just two main categories of sizing for single dogs.

​

The new prices will take effect for all new boarding that starts on or after Monday 5th February 2024.

Our Services

Putting Your Pets First

We offer a year-round boarding service for when you are not able to be there yourself.

From single days and weekends to longer stays we strive to accommodate all requests.

​

We are able to offer a dog grooming service in our newly refurbished grooming salon.

Dogs can be groomed while they stay with us to save you another journey, or can be booked in independently, and can be pampered whenever they need it. Please contact us for an appointment.

We have over 40 kennels on site and an above average staff to dog ratio. Our experienced staff offer a high standard of care.

Cat Boarding

Our cattery can accommodate over 15 cats, and our experienced staff will ensure your cat has a pleasant stay.

Pet Food Shop

We are now able to supply frozen raw meat, dry and wet dog food from our small shop on site. This new venture will continue to evolve and expand as our customers guide our stock choices.

We have a professional groomer available on-site who can attend to all your dog's grooming needs.
